REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Addition to role of Social Science Senators

Whereas, ASUCI School of Social Science Senators are working to better communication between the Dean’s Ambassador’s Council (DAC) and Social Science School Senators,

 

Whereas, ASUCI School of Social Science Senators were not able to confirm a seat on the DAC board,

 

Whereas, School of Social Science Senators met with DAC and other organizations that work with students at the School of Social Science such as Pi Gamma Mu, Model United Nations, and Social Sciences Academic Mentorship,

 

Whereas, School of Social Science Senators made a commitment to meet with DAC along with other organizations in the school to meet at least once a quarter to further understand the needs of the School of Social Science,

 

Whereas, School of Social Science Senators want to commit to hearing the voices, concerns, and wants of students of School of Social Science in order to assist them,

 

Whereas, it is the responsibility for the School of Social Science Senators to reach out to Teresa Neighbors, Student Services Director, with their availability each quarter and set up the meeting with him and other organizations of the School of Social Science,

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that the role of the School of Social Science Senators is to extend to a mandatory meeting each quarter with DAC and other organizations in the School of Social Sciences.
