REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE |

All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Whereas, there was no previous requirement for Senate approval in the withdrawal of unallocated funds in the By-Laws, and,
Whereas, the Senate promotes transparency in the use of communal Senate resources, and,
Whereas, the President of the Senate currently has the authority to approve check requests without Senate approval, and,
Therefore, let it be resolved that an additional Section D. be added to the By-Laws Article XIX. that reads, “D. Any financial request which requires the senators to withdraw money from the Senate Unallocated account (or any similar account) must be approved by the Senate through a bill before the President of the Senate approves the check request form.” and,
Let it finally be resolved that the current sections D, E, and F of Article XIX be relettered to become sections E, F, and G, respectively.
