REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: By-laws Amendment: Transfer Senator Meeting with the Director of the Transfer Student Hub

Whereas, the By-laws are in constant need of attention and correction to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date and,

Whereas, the Transfer Senator has the same responsibilities and obligations as other School-based Senators and At-Large Senators and,

Whereas, the Transfer Senator currently does not have an appointed UCI Administrator according to the by-laws, such as a Dean to meet with and,

Therefore, let it be resolved that a new sentence “Transfer Senator shall meet with the Director of the Transfer Student Hub at least once a quarter” be added between “International Senator shall meet with the Director of the International Center at least once a quarter.” and “At-Large Senators shall meet with the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.” in Article III., Section A., Subsection 2., b), (3) of the ASUCI By-Laws.
