REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of Statewide Organizing Co-Commissioner

Whereas, The Statewide Organizing Commission is under the External Vice President’s office of ASUCI; AND

 

Whereas, Article 6, section 2(k) of the ASUCI Constitution requires the ASUCI Senate to consider and possibly confirm any appointments made by Executive Officers to paid positions; AND

 

Whereas, The External Vice President has already appointed Ivana Kang and Tasnim Chowdhury as Co-Commissioners of Statewide Organizing; AND

 

Whereas, Ivana Kang is unable to fulfill the duties associated with being the Co-Commissioner of Statewide Organizing; AND

 

Whereas, Jasmine Yu is able to fulfill the duties associated with being the Co-Commissioner of Statewide Organizing and has agreed to do so; AND

 

Whereas, The External Vice President nominates Jasmine Yu as Co-Commissioner of Statewide Organizing; AND

 

Therefore Let it be Resolved, that Ivana Kang is removed from the position of Statewide Organizing Co-Commissioner; AND


Therefore Let it be finally Resolved, that the nomination of Jasmine Yu to the position of EVP Statewide Co-Commissioner along with Tasnim Chowdhury be confirmed by the ASUCI Senate, to serve for the remainder of the 2017-2018 academic year.
