All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

Whereas the basic needs of students, such as food security, housing security, and transportation security, should be addressed with on-campus resources,
Whereas 40% of UC students struggle with food insecurity and many struggle with housing and transportation security,
Whereas ASUCI has several commissions dedicated to basic needs security and ASUCI Senate should work with other branches of ASUCI to advocate for students, Let it be resolved, that these Senators be added to the Basic Needs Security Special Committee, Celine Ton Jessica Santiago Julie Lim Ashar Khan Let it further be resolved that the Basic Needs Security Special Committee will be formed and in service until the end of the Spring Quarter 2018, with committee membership to be determined by Advocacy Committee.
