REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE |

All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

WHEREAS, each ASUCI senator is required to join one of four committees every quarter of the academic school year of their term,
WHEREAS, one of the four committees senators may join is the Public Information committee,
WHEREAS, the Public Information committee responsibilities are stated and listed within the ASUCI Constitution under Section 13, Subsection (A), Subsection (1)
WHEREAS, one of the Public Information committee responsibilities listed under the ASUCI constitution Section 13, Subsection (A), Subsection (1) Subsection (b) states that the Public Information Committee shall be responsible for “serving as a catalyst for the generation of ideas and producing ASUCI publicity,”
WHEREAS, one of the Public Information committee responsibilities listed under the ASUCI constitution Section 13, Subsection (A), Subsection (1) Subsection (c) states that the Public Information Committee shall be responsible for “publicizing Senate meetings and topics of discussion weekly,”
WHEREAS, the Public Information committee responsibilities in reference to Section 13, Subsection (A), Subsection (1) Subsection (b) and (c) are vague and do not outline specific actions senators within the committee must complete as such is left to the discretion of the members of the Public Information Committee,
THEREFORE, let it be resolved that each senate member of the Public Information committee should attend at least one official club or campus organization meeting for two different club or campus organizations,
THEREFORE, let it be resolved that a ASUCI Senate Request Form be created and accessible to any official club or campus organization in order to increase Senate outreach amongst its constituents under the Public Information committee,
THEREFORE, let it be resolved that all members within the Public Information Committee must booth at least once a quarter to increase communication with constituents and publicize Senate matters to the undergraduate student population on campus.
