      1. Matt Tsai- there was an issue with attendance for our meetings and it would be cool to provide food for incentive

      2. Skyla Zhang- I would strongly oppose providing pizza for council as an incentive because we are paid

      3. Khaalidah Sidney- representatives should want to be here and we shouldn't bribe people to come with food or snacks

      4. Patrick Chen- we should invite people on a thursday so we will have more thing to discuss; change to May 1st

          1. Skyla Zhang- 600 dollar speaking fee, but she will be in the area so we don’t need to pay for her travel and sleeping arrangements

        1. Alex Fung- I am in total support of this legislation

        2. Alvin Phan-Maybe this isn’t the best way to approach this situation. We shouldn’t be admitting people because of their race, but rather their merit

        3. Negin Fatahi- can we explain affirmative action first? It’s not just about race. They compare your background and the experiences you’ve had and take that into account when considering your performance.

        4. Patrick Chen- this is making race one of the many deciding factors

          1. fear the Chinese or Asian American will be harmed by affirmative action is false

        5. Naaila Mohammed- our primary concern should be on campus affairs and issues affecting students. It’s not serving to disadvantage any communities.

        6. Alvin Phan- I just want to bring to light the things I’ve heard from the constituent boards I’ve sat on. I understand everyone’s concerns

        7. Naaila Mohammed- from my experience, our campus does not reflect equal opportunity

        8. Khaalidah Sidney- I don’t think that the process right now is fair

          1. some students are still denied

          2. we need to vote as representatives

        9. Negin Fatahi- different schools and different districts do not offer the same programs across the board. It is something to keep in mind in terms of affirmative action.

          1. I think this will consider how well you did merit wise, but also where you came from

        10. Patrick Chen- this is an important issue and maybe we should table this until Tuesday to research
