 Ø  Called to Order by Fung at 5:02

Ø  Attendance

    • Council Member Reynolds arrives late at 5:09, Council Member Carlson arrives late from an excused absence at 5:21, President Khosravi arrives late at 5:33,
    • Vice President Fung leaves early at 5:42

Ø  Approval of Minutes

    • Fung: If there is no objections the minutes are approved
      • Approved

Ø  Approval of Agenda

    • Fung: If there is no objections the agenda is approved
      • Approved

Ø  Public Comment

o    No public comment

Ø  Executive Officer Reports

    • Student Services: Dizon – The Steve Jobs screening had lower attendance than expected because of midterms. The Student Services applications are out. We are doing Shocktoberfest ticket giveaways and floor access giveaways all week this week. We have Spirit Week giveaways next week
    • Admin Affairs: Fung - SOAR is doing a photo campaign tomorrow and Wednesday. On Week 9 we will be having a Christmas party but that is tentative. TGIF just received its first round of funding applications so we are sorting through those
    • EVP: Fung - SOC applications just closed with 200 applicants. Student labor is organizing even at UCSB and we are sending a small party.

Ø  Special Committee Reports

o   Parking Committee: There is a meeting tonight at 8

o   Refurbishment Committee: We went over pricing and we are setting up an official meeting soon.

    • Fung: If there is no discussion we will move to a vote
      • Vote on R51-02 Passes 7-0-3 Yea: Chavarin, Barnoy, Phan, Arkules, Baranwal, Vergara, Fatahi Abstain: Heyward, Khandadash, Reynolds

·         R51-03 Administrative Affairs Commissioner Appointments 5:11

o   Fung: If there is no discussion we will move to a vote

      • Vote on R51-03 Passes 10-0-0 Yea: Chavarin, Barnoy, Phan, Arkules, Baranwal, Vergara, Fatahi, Heyward, Khandadash, Reynolds

o   Barnoy: Motion to have a closed meeting  for 10 minutes Second: Phan

o   Phan: Motion to extend discussion by 2 minutes Second: Barnoy

o   Jermakian: If there are no objections we will extend discussion for 2 minutes

Ø  Council Intern Program Reports

o   Phan: The interns are working on various committees and we will be looking into hiring new interns soon. Also if anyone would like to help out with the intern program let me know.

·         Fung: If there are no objections we will move into committee breakouts for 10 minutes 5:12

      • Phan: Leg council appointment interviews next week, 2 j board interviews this week
    • Public Info
      • Heyward: I have printed all the minutes so now I just need a binder to put them in. Apparel is in the process, and we will be getting prices soon. We are thinking about a polo shirt because it gives a more professional look.
    • Finance
      • Barnoy: We are still waiting on refurbishment committee reports to give a budget for refurbishing the office.
    • Advocacy
      • Carlson: No new updates

·         Barnoy: Motion to amend R51-02 to change the names of members appointed to reflect changes in staffing

o   Fung: If there are no objections the amendment passes

§  Vote by acclimation to amend R51-02 Passes 11-0-0 Yea: Chavarin, Barnoy, Phan, Arkules, Baranwal, Vergara, Fatahi, Heyward, Khandadash, Reynolds, Carlson

·         Fung: If there are no objections we will move into school breakouts for 10 minutes 5:41
