  • Executive Officer Reports
    • President: We are excited to announce that at yesterday’s meeting on the strategic plan they for the most part adopted all of the changes we suggested, most notably our e-sports community where our competitive gaming is ranked #1 in the nation, #2 in the world. Everything was either adopted or pointed out that it already exists. However in concerns with the honors college the board they were adamant, but they agreed to change the language to “look into” rather than “implement”.
    • Student Services: We are having a retreat this week.
    • Admin Affairs: We are having a retreat this week.
  • Special Committee Reports
    • International Committee: No report.
    • Parking Committee: We met with our mentor, and talked about how to begin research. We also worked on straightening out the goals that we have.
    • First Generation and Non-Traditional Student Committee: Our committee chairs met with our faculty advisor and are now finalizing our theme. We will be researching the reasons why current first generation and non-traditional students got into research.
    • Students with Disabilities Committee: No report.
    • Undocumented Student Committee: This committee is on hold.
    • Transfer Student Committee: This committee is on hold.
    • Refurbishment Committee: No new updates.
    • MyUCI Committee: We presented our plan last meeting, and are currently still working on that.
    • Constitutional Revision Committee: We are in talks with Judicial Board.

      • Khosravi: It is for publicity purposes for any part of ASUCI.

      • Olvera: I think that there are other alternatives such as keeping offices closed more and encouraging people to work other places

      • Barnoy: I think it’s pertinent to consider that all other offices in the student center have this system and ours is the only one that doesn’t.
      • Olvera: I just want everyone to remember how they voted today when other bills that come across that are very expensive.
      • Barnoy: I just want to clarify that the ASUCI reserves are for maintaining and improving ASUCI’s infrastructure and offices.
      • Kekejian: So in what ways can this money be spent?
      • Phan: The money can be spent as follows: “At the end of the fiscal year, all unused expenditures will be transferred into an account called “ASUCI Reserves.” 1. The conditions that must be met to access the ASUCI Reserves account include the following: a. Purchase of equipment or technology that provides a long-term benefit to the organization. b. Unanticipated one-time expenses that are necessary and vital to the organization. c. Payroll funds for a new position in Student Government that is necessary and vital to the organization.
      • Kekejian: So how much money is in this account?
      • Khosravi: It is about $1.5 million.
