    • Hong: I authored this legislation. I had asked another senator to do it. I know there may have been miscommunication regarding the legislation. Please go with what my word is and not what other peoples or senators say. If you do have something planned then that is fine. But if I give you something to do and you agree to it I’m going to hold you to it.
  • Senate Intern Program Report
    • Hi: We had our first intern meeting last Wednesday. It went well. The interns have chosen their committees. They will shadow you all during breakout committees. Through the quarter they will try and help a senator author legislation and shadow for potential advice in how things get done.
    • Hassane: When will they shadow us?
    • Hi: Within the next week. Depends on what is going on in the committee and what legislation is being written.

      • We approved the stipend By-Law (R52-15), and it will be voted on at Thursday’s meeting.

      • Looking into vendors for senate apparel.
    • Advocacy
      • Working on legislation that was discussed in the previous meeting.
  • Immediate Business

·       Chanes (VP of External Affairs): SoCC applications are open on ASUCI website. You all can apply as delegate and volunteer during the conference. You can submit workshops too, ex: activism, mental health of POCs, antiblackness, Students for Justice in Palestine workshop, Graduate Women of color, Men of Color in Greek Letters. Applications close on Friday. We will be hosting 900-1000 people from all the UCs.
