    • EVP: 
      • UC Regents meeting, applications for EVP office are open and that students should apply for those positions. We are sending out 5 students to lobby at the state capital for tuition hikes.

    • Disability Center: Advocating for a waiver fee for finals week for students with disabilities that are trying to make it easier for students. Taco Tuesday for disability center is on next Tuesday.

    • c) [Jacoby/Lu] R52-71 Senate Finance Committee Appointments (15 Minutes)
      • Lim calls to question: Orozco seconds
      • Motion passes 16-0-1: Lu, Mousa, Chin, Noureldine, Lim, Sidhu, Abuzeid, Hong, Xiao, Alazani, Bender, Safady, Hernandez, Hasan, Zheng, Jacoby; No: none; Abs: Orozco
    • d) [Orozco] Judicial Board Interview (15 Minutes)
      • Reece Disney: The position is important to me because of my experience in EVP (legislative affairs). Wants to get involved as possible. J Board matches his personality and what he can bring to the table. Passionate about law and legislation , and debating. Maintaining no bias is very important for the job. Values the role of political discussion and debate, and to gather and understand feedback from that individual in order to make a proper ruling.
    • e) [Orozco/Hong] R52-70 Judicial Board Appointments Spring 2017 (15 Minutes)
      • adopted by Hernandez
      • Hong expresses concerns on the ambitions of one of the applicants
    • f) [Hong/Natoolo] R52-72 By-laws Amendment: Senator Application Reform (15 Minutes)
      • Essentially updating the way the application works
      • Rules committee will review and interview the applicants
      • President of the senate will name blind the candidates  
      • Orozco brings up the possibility that a nameblind will be detrimental due to not knowing the name for a strong application but for an individual known to not comply to senate rulings.
      • Lim states a blind maybe helpful in choosing an applicant without bias
      • Legislation is tabled by Orozco / Seconded by Zheng
