          • Its frustrating when they want to shoot down the legislation

        • Problems:

          • Active students are not a protected class

          • It's just a method to protect franchise

          • We couldn't have secretaries or interns

        • Deans argument about access students

          • Access students only take open class

            • we have priority over them

          • Not actually a financial burden

            • Not gonna have obnoxious influx (financially)

            • No bonafide power to senate, cannot pass legislation

        • Can discriminate based on the interviews. Can question them on the merits

        • Argument Dean made about Denmark

          • Denmark students are taking classes here

          • Shouldn't pick on international students

            • They aren’t even taking classes here for that long

        • Students should not have representation because they aren't undergraduates

          • Any person as undergraduate student or as an extension student may be a member of ASUCI.

            • These are “words from the constitution”

        • Already proof that shows that people deserve some sort of representation

        • Procedural things inside are just to specify

          • why important: Legally in the constitution

        • Question: How is it outside that students are allowed to submit legislation if only we have have access? Anyone in general? public in general able to submit?

          • Any student has the ability to write up. Can come up with an idea for a legislation.They can propose it to senator→ senate. A lot of different ways. Legislation says we can do it.

          • Judicial board has rules previously on similar amendment, said to be bound unconstitutional

            • Actually a different situation; this situation DOES NOT refer to bona fide senators. This legislation says that that these exofficio exists at discretion of senate.
