    • President:

      • Registered UCI undergraduate organizations can begin submitting applications for funding!

      • SPFB meet every Tuesday from 3-5 pm.

      • We will host another funding workshop this quarter (details TBA) to spread the word about funding. Last quarter's funding workshop hosted approximately 60 representatives from campus organizations, and we are looking forward to continuing our marketing and outreach efforts to the UCI community so that every organization knows about this wonderful funding resource.

      • Unfortunately, a few of the ASUCI headshots files were compromised. The rest are almost finished being edited. If there was an issue with your photo, we will personally reach out to you. If not, they’ll be out soon!

    • Vice President:

      • Open house next Tuesday

    • Executive VP: Broussard

      • In september voted to increase tuition

      • Having them talk about why we should or shouldn't have them

      • There will be an info session / workshop and one of the workshops will be on wednesday posted on the facebook page

      • Our biggest concern right now is not enough students coming so those are some ways you can help.

    • [Khan/Kaur]  R53-50: By-laws Amendment: Senate Budget Protocol (15 minutes)

      • Discussion

        • Hong:

          • when we have bills, senators write bills and it goes through finance

          • it is possible for president of senate to sign

            • we have decided to totify and make it clear how these steps can be followed

      • Motion to call question R53-50 by roll call

  • New Business

    • [Enriquez/Kaur] R53-56: UCI in support of 100 percent renewable energy (10 minutes)

      • Discussion

        • Lim: “Do you know how much nonrenewable energy UCI uses?”

          • Kaur: “No, i will have to check with them”

      • Motion to remove “faculty and staff” from “the Associated Student Government- University of California, Irvine here assembled, and the signatories of this resolution who represent a diverse set of students, faculty and staff”

        • Motion: Ton

        • Second: Hong

      • Discussion:

        • Hong: “saying that we can do 100% renewable energy is going to make people wonder why we put this legislation in the first place if they don’t actually do it or follow through with it. They are going to wonder why.”

        • Boparai: “I know this was put to help and put in effort to renew the efforts, do you think it’s smarter to work on language and see what they are doing and work with them. if we are going to be supporting 100% renewable energy, I think we should have these people come.”

        • Hong: “Saying that we can do 100% renewable energy is going to make people wonder why we put this legislation in the first place if they don’t actually do it or follow through with it.”

          • Motion to add 5 minutes to discussion

        • Lim: “I think we should postpone this until we get some staff who knows about this situation and see their place and showing us that renewable is possible and a UCI staff who is an expert on this.”

        • Jess: “She mentioned that other people have passed legislation on this same topic. It could be a good idea to reference the others and see what they put and see if we can add that back to UCI. She mentioned this is a goal for all UC schools not just UCI. It would be a good point to mention that this legislation is part of a common goal among all UCs.”

        • Ton: “ we are currently atv 60% renewable energy. This has been discussed in the california legislator. Just cause we think this is impossible doesn’t mean we can’t try.”

      • Motion to postpone this legislation until tuesday so we get more information from UCI staff experts.

  • [Hong/Boparai] R53-57: By-laws Amendment: Clarification of Senate Confirmations (10 minutes)

    • Discussion:

      • Hong: this is put in place to make it clearer to put into timeframe when exactly a new senate was put into senate

    • Motion to change “Upon Senate approval of a appointment to a Senate seat,” to “Upon Senate approval of a appointment to an Senate seat,”

      • Motion: Lim

    • Motion to call the question by acclamation
