      • To come and talk to you all

        • My background is UCI.

      • A lot of focus on the financials of the University and we want to have conversations with you on the consequences and tradeoff of UCI. Funding and tuition funding that support our campus and what portrays as a good education and the quality of UCI

      • What are consequences if no financial support?

        • Academic advising wait times

          • Make sure the courses are offered in timely fashion and make sure that students can get those courses.

        • Mental health wait times

          • Make sure services are provided to meet those needs. The UC campus saw that at as an important investment. , responsive student services, number of TA led sections,

          •
        • Classroom Technology Update

          • Classroom are being to show their age and so we want to make sure that we are making the necessary investments to improve their classes

        • Number of TA led sections, responsive students services

      • We are showing you this so you know where the extra resources are going towards

      • Decision not make to whether there will be a tuition increase in Fall of 2018.

        • We would like to look for state to continue their investment in UC california schools.

      • What about Governor proposed 3% increase from the state?

        • Doesn’t cover mandatory costs cover:

          • Faculty and staff salary increases, inflationary cost increases

      • Where would the financial support come from?

        • State Buyout and/or Tuition and Fees

      • We don't want to diminish the staffing resources that are out there.

      • We would like the governor to consider a increase above the 3%.

        • Without some level of tuition funding we put ourselves in a situation in how we would help the importance of student services etc. Not just tuition increase we would like to focus on pursuing a state buyout as well.

      • Questions/Concerns

        • Lydia:

          • How have most of the departments been funded?

          • When the information gets delivered we will share that with you and maybe when we have that we can share that with the rest of ASUCI. Will work on this and get the information back to you. Going to try and make a document for it.

        • Julie

          • How much more funds does UCI need to support all of this?

            • 40%-50% and we need to keep funding up just because it hasn't kept up with the growth of UCI.

          • If we dont get more funding form the state how much tuition raise would need to compensate
