International Senator

Pronouns:

He/Him/His

Major/Minor/Year:

3rd year Political Science and Economics major, Urban and Regional Planning minor

Personal Facts/Passions:

I am an international student from Bangkok, Thailand. Yes! That is where all your Pad Thai and Sriracha is from. Since my first year at UCI, I have been deeply involved with the international student community. Not only did I work as part of the mentee committee under the International Student Excellence program but I’ve also built an extensive network of friends ranging from all around the world!

By day, I an overly caffeinated third year and International Senator. But by night I am an AVID gym addict, Asian food connoisseur, and public speaking enthusiast. I spend my free time taking long meaningful walks with friends and perfecting my different celebrity impressions (you might get to hear a few one day, don’t hesitate to ask!)

Nevertheless, the one thing I love more than squatting twice my bodyweight and acting as a fake lawyer in a fake trial, is ensuring that the needs of our student body are met.

Goals For 2021-2022:

I’ll be honest, I have a lot of goals as International Senator, so much so that I have a whole document for them. Please read through the document if you are interested and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Why did you join ASUCI?:

My purpose in life is to help people. I know that sounds basic and cheesy but I believe this should be a fundamental purpose for every public servant. Looking back, when I first came to UCI I felt lost and I had no idea what to do with my life. If it wasn’t for all the amazing friends and faculties I would still be lost to this day, so I accredit all my success to those who have supported me through my journey. I want to be the same support, I received early on, to those who never received it for themselves. I want to help people because I believe everyone deserves to the best on our campus.

With that in mind, I promise you that as long as I am in office I will do everything in my power to ensure that ALL students, no matter their backgrounds or place of birth are treated equally and fairly on our campus.

I want you all to know right now that I value your voices. So, if you have any feedback, questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact me through the social media platforms provided in this bio.
