Hi there! My name is Sabrina Rashid(pronouns she/her/hers) and I’m a third year Education Sciences major. I’m originally from Palmdale, CA and moved to Orange County after being accepted into the University of California Irvine. This is my third year in ASUCI, and my second year in the Office of Student Services in particular. I originally started off as a Campus Spirit Intern during the 19-20 academic year, and decided to become a commissioner for the 20-21 year. Some of my other involvements include the Undergraduate Undeclared Mentorship Program, and the Society of Arab Students. On my free time I love watching tik toks, and learning new dances to post. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, or watching movies with family and friends.
As times are very unpredictable at the moment, our Campus Spirit Commission has a variety of goals depending on whether we are going to be in person, or continue remotely. That being said, some of our general goals we hope to achieve overall for the 2020-2021 school year include participation, engagement, and a lot of excitement. Campus Spirit is extremely focused on enhancing the college experience, whether it is online or in person by keeping a highly engaged social media platform. We hope to continue and reach our attendance goals for all of our events, and create new goals for online attendees.
More importantly, our most important goal is to help students feel spirited from the comfort of their own home, and genuinely be excited about being a student at the University of California Irvine. We have hired an outstanding group of interns that is well experienced and prepared to follow through with reaching all of our current goals. Campus Spirit also hopes to achieve a lot more as our time passes, and we are continuing to grow and learn as a whole.
